Preparedness is for your convenience and for emergencies

“Preparedness when properly pursued, is a way of life, not a sudden spectacular program.”

Spencer W. Kimball
time to prepare clockNow is the time to prepare.  When an actual emergency arises, the time to prepare is past!!!

The emergency does NOT have to be a “doomsday” disaster, The emergency CAN be and will probably be an inconvenient occurrence. Therefore, several items talked about in this website were written to help you have more CONVENIENCE in your everyday life and prepare you for those times of emergency.
The purpose of this website is to help individuals and families to be prepared for emergencies. It is impossible to predict every emergency situation, therefore this website is designed to help you get started with preparedness BEFORE the disaster strikes. Unfortunately, preparedness is a personal preference when it comes to deciding what one should have. No one can say exactly what you, yourself, should have. Therefore, a list of suggestions and ideas are included in this site.

Through this website you will be given suggestions in every category of preparedness. It is up to you, the individual or up to the family to choose what best suits your needs.

Please keep in mind, that you must think about emergencies happening:

● if you are at home
● if you cannot be in your home but in your yard
● if you are in your car
● if you need to leave your home quickly with a 72 hour pack/kit
● if you need to be in your tornado or earthquake shelter in your home
● if you are at work, school, etc.

When considering anything with preparedness --- Please ask yourself - if a store is NOT an option, do I have what I need in my home, 72 hour pack/kit, car and at work.

Reasons we should store

  1. Such personal emergencies as accidents, illness, or unemployment could arise at any time. None is exempt; no one knows when it might happen in his or her own family.
  2. Buying now and storing can help to hedge against the inflationary spiral.
  3. War, strikes, earthquakes, etc. could gravely and quickly disrupt sources of supply. Wars, depressions, and the like have always been with us and are becoming increasingly worse as peoples and nations become increasingly interdependent.
  4. Savings can frequently be effected if we look ahead and purchase wisely in quantity.
  5. Peace of mind comes from being prepared.
  6. Assistance to family and friends can be given if needed. (it is possible that a tremendous influx of people from other areas could disrupt normal sources of food within a matter of hours.)
